n-Hexyltrichlorosilane is a precursor in the synthesis of n-Hexylsilane; a reducing agent in redox initiated cationic polymerization of vinyl and heterocyclic monomers. Also used in organically modified silica glass, which can inhibit human macrophage adhesion and foreign body giant cell formation.
